PRINCIPLES:

It defines the seven principles that should be followed in fulfilling social responsibilities, including the principles of accountability, ethical behavior, transparency, respect for stakeholders’ interests, respect for laws, respect for international codes of conduct, and respect for human rights.

 


CORE THEMES:

Social responsibilities are summarized into 7 core aspects, as follows:


Organizational governance: It involves the establishment of management systems, the improvement of management efficiency, etc., including compliance with laws, obligations, transparency, ethical behavior, and recognition of stakeholders and their concerns.


Human rights: With reference to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and international conventions on human rights, it covers civil and political rights, socio-economic and cultural rights, rights of vulnerable groups, and fundamental rights at work.


Labor practices: It includes employment and labor relations, working conditions and social security, occupational safety and health, human resources development, and social dialogue.


Environment: It emphasizes environmental responsibility, such as taking a precautionary approach, adopting environmentally friendly technologies and practices, developing a circular economy, preventing pollution, sustainable consumption, responding to climate change, protecting and restoring the natural environment, etc.


Fair operating practices: Creating a good external environment for organizational operations by encouraging fair competition, improving the reliability and fairness of business transactions, preventing corruption and promoting fair political processes, including anti-corruption and bribery, responsible political participation, fair competition, promoting social responsibility in the supply chain, and respecting property rights.


Consumer issues: Including fair marketing, information and contract practices, protecting consumer health and safety, promoting environmental and socially beneficial products and services, consumer services, support and dispute resolution, consumer information and privacy protection, acceptance of basic products and services, sustainable consumption education and awareness, etc.


Social development: Involving participation in community development, contributing to economic development, etc.

 


GUIDANCE ON FULFILLING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Including identifying the social responsibility of the organization, integrating social responsibility into the organization's policies and strategies, implementing social responsibility through the organization's governance structure and activities, identifying and selecting social responsibility issues related to the organization, establishing contacts and consultations with stakeholders, and publishing the organization's social responsibility information through communication means, etc.

 


STAKEHOLDERS:

Emphasizing the importance of identifying stakeholders, consulting and communicating with stakeholders, and how to consider the needs and expectations of stakeholders when fulfilling social responsibilities.

 


COMMUNICATION:

Introduces how to publish information related to social responsibility, including communication principles, strategies, indicators, etc., and how to improve the transparency and credibility of the organization through communication.
